Do I need to live in Calgary, Toronto or Denver where your offices are located to join Symend?

We currently have remote opportunities available across North America. As we scale, we will expand our hiring locally and internationally, which will often require remote work. Our focus is on finding the best people for our roles.

 

Where are Symenders working during COVID-19?

The health and safety of our employees are our highest priorities, especially during these unprecedented times. All current and future employees are working from home until further notice.

 

Does Symend provide Visa sponsorship?

At this time, we are only considering applicants who are currently legally eligible to work in the country where the job is based. Visa sponsorship is rare and only for specialized positions. Where can I confirm the deadline to apply to your postings?

You can’t put a timeline on finding the best and brightest. All job postings will remain open until we find the right fit. We recommend applying as soon as you can.

 

I want to work at Symend, but I don’t see a posting that is the right fit for me. How can I keep track of the latest job postings?

We are growing and post new roles often. We recommend following us on Twitter and LinkedIn to stay up to date with our latest postings.

 

What are the next steps once I’ve submitted my application?

If you have the experience and skills we are looking for, a member of our talent acquisition team will reach out as soon as possible. If we require more information or if your qualifications do not meet our requirements at this time, we will notify you as quickly as we can. To ensure you receive a timely response, these notifications may be automated.

 

What does Symend do with the personal information I provide in my application?

What can I expect from the interview process?

We want to help you feel prepared. After your first interview is complete with our talent acquisition team, candidates selected to move forward to an interview with the hiring manager for that role will receive an overview of next steps. This includes the number of interviews you can expect, as well as any assessment tests or tasks that we need you to complete. To help ensure the position is the right fit for you and the team, we ensure candidates meet with multiple individuals so that everyone has ample opportunity to get to know each other and ask questions.

 

Will you interview all candidates who meet the list of qualifications?

We wish that we could speak with every candidate, but the number of highly qualified applicants is often too high to allow it. We personally review hundreds of applications each month. In addition to the candidates who apply to each posting, we also review candidates who have previously applied to other roles within Symend and recruit at events. Our needs will evolve as we grow which is why we encourage you to keep an eye on the website and continue to apply to roles you are qualified for.

 

If I am not selected for a role I interviewed for, will you provide me with feedback so that I can improve?

We know that constructive criticism is very important for your career path. That being said, because of the sheer volume of applications, we cannot guarantee feedback for every candidate.

If you have completed an interview with the hiring manager, we are committed to ensuring you receive direct feedback from us because we would love for you to apply again in the future.

If you were not selected for an interview, we cannot guarantee that feedback will be provided given the volume of applicants.

 

What does it take to succeed at Symend?

While there’s plenty of opportunity for personal development and growth, Symenders are best set up for success if they deeply believe in our vision of transforming the science of customer engagement on a global scale.

What are the primary reasons why applicants may be declined?

Lack of experience. As we navigate this period of rapid growth from start-up to scale-up, we need people who can hit the ground running. Although we seek ambitious people, we recommend applying to the role that is the best fit for your skillset, not the one you want to grow into. That said, there are plenty of growth opportunities at Symend once you get your feet wet! Please keep in mind that these requirements will evolve as Symend experiences different stages of growth.

While we look for talent with a variety of backgrounds, our top candidates have experience in telecommunications, financial services, customer engagement or B2B SaaS.
